Post Your Grades as you get them!
« on: January 09, 2008, 12:03:09 AM »
I'm not trying to be weird by doing this, but I know lots of ppl (like me) who want to rant/vent/brag/etc. about various grades, but I don't want to talk about them with actual for real classmates (b/c that's tacky and a bad idea!)  So here is the place ... post them all together or as they come and express your surprise/relief/disappointment.  Doesn't matter how good or bad or average they are.  Nobody should be judging.  Ready go ....

I passed intro to law - woot (haha, not a huge accomplishment)

Contracts - B+!!!!  Woot!  (We're on a B curve) ... I am actually SO relieved, considering it was my last exam and I was so burned out that I probably spent a total of 3 hours actually studying for it and only had a 1 page outline.  I was afraid I would do much worse!

Got my first grade today in Business Entities, A-.  Pretty happy with it given that I realized issues after the exam was finished and couldn't help but my torment myself for days/weeks later.  Gotta love that curve.

Yea yea I know a 3.7 GPA isn't anything to cry over, but this still lowers my overall GPA enough to edge me out of summa range....

More than that, I'm concerned because the office I'm summering at does about 60% Creditors Rights/BK stuff, and a C+ in a foundational course is a pretty bad black eye on my transcript.

I still haven't received any grades yet, but I'm not sure when to expect them.  Does anyone know whether columbia sends all 1L grades at a particular date (if so, around what date?) or if a professor's grades are sent as they are received?  Thanks.

My roommate got her small section grade, but I haven't gotten any.  You'll get an email saying that a grade has been posted on lawnet.  2L friends say around the last week of January is when all the grades should be out.
