Interview with Federal Judge....Help!

Hello.  I have an interview with a federal judge in two days and I don't really know what to expect.  Can anyone who has been through this experience tell me what the interview was like?  What did they ask?  What are they looking for? etc.  Thanks for the help.

I interviewed with two Federal District Court Judges. One I interviewed with just the Judge, and it was much like a 30 minute firm interview with questions like "what do you do for fun" ect. My second interview (for a different Judge), I only interviewed with the clerks. I got a lot harder questions like "what do you think you would do here", "whats your approach to research" and "whats the biggest area in your research that can be improved." I would also be prepared for the standard "why do you want this job" ect. Good luck! (PS - I start with my externship on Monday, and Im even more nervous about starting!)

Don't be nervous.  Just watch and listen to the clerks - by now they've been there for a few months and actually know what the hell theyre doing.  And the first assignment you get, don't try to write it as if its some grandiose opinion of grave constitutional importance.  Odds are you're not good enough to write like that yet, and any attempt will just turn out awkward.  Answer the question i plain english.  And good luck.
