The Importance of Eye Contact

 Today in Consumer Protection class, my professor was asking us some pretty difficult questions, and he was calling on students randomly for answers. 

Then, finally, he asked an easy question, and using the power of eye contact, I got him to call on me.

Really.  I’m not crazy.  When you want to be called on in class, if you make direct eye contact with your professor and raise your eyebrows as high as they’ll go, there’s a good chance you’ll be called on. 

Has anybody else found this to be the case?

When you call it "blatant" you're implying that I'm trying to cover something up.
Which I'm not.  I do want you to read my blog...Don't expect you'll like it, but I would be curious to hear...

Actually, "blatant" was meant to convey what it means.  I don't mean to imply that you're covering it up at all.

Blatant: without any attempt at concealment; completely obvious; "blatant disregard of the law"; "a blatant appeal to vanity"; "a blazing indiscretion"
