too late to start sending out resumes

Biglaw OCI is just about over at my school, and I'm stuck with only a 1/2 summer job.  Is it worth sending resumes off to other cities' biglaw firms now or is it too late?

Plus, are there any down sides to only working 1/2 the summer, career wise, asides from missing out on about $15,000 and another chance at a permanent job offer?

I would keep looking for other jobs, but if it is too late, its not the end of the world.  You may be able to convert your current offer to the full summer or take classes half the summer and work the other half (some school's summer semester timeline allows for this).

Also, mid-sized firms have not begun recruiting for next summer yet.
