The Professor ask my name after I answered a simple question....

Then she walks to the roster appears to put a dot by my name & moves on with the class ???  Is she just trying to freak me out.  Honest it was a one word answer no big deal.

It's probably just so that she won't call on you again too much ... I think they try to get everyone to answer questions, so they keep track of who has answered (voluntarily or involuntarily).  Don't sweat it!

Sounds like she didn't have to try to freak you out.

Some profs like to spread around the questioning. Some like to learn names. Some do both. Don't sweat it.
