i was told by a hiring coordinator at a DC/Boston firm that NY was going to 190 and they were preparing to match. It would not surprise me since many DC firms have raised from 145 to 160 lately...
i've heard 190 / 195.i've also heard that only a small handful of nyc firms (skadden, cravath, weiss, etc.) are willing / able to do this - which means that the vast majority of will not be affected.
