In what states, if any, can you become a lawyer w/o taking the bar?
Note --> this is a bet I have w/ my friend he says that Wisconsin does not require one to take the bar

Wisconsin allows graduates of Wisconsin law schools to practice law without taking the bar. There may be some other requirements.

Wisconsin -- which does have requirements. You have to take certain classes to qualify.

Also on the Wisconsin thing, you must pass the character and fitness portion of the bar. I think you might also need to take the MPRE.

Nope...no MPRE for Wisconsin. There are very specific requirements for the so-called "Diploma Privilege" though, including lots of required courses and of course Character & Fitness.
