Having a 17 inch laptop for law school?

I use a 17" laptop and I love it.  The footprint is hefty and so is the weight, but that's to be expected. It's all about whether you prefer a larger screen ( I do because of my eyes) or something more portable.  The worst I've seen is someone with a 17 inch notebook with additional keyboard, mouse and portable hard drive.

bus?? that might be a problem, actually. right now my car is my locker. i can't imagine having to take the bus with 2/3 case books and a 17" notebook. that would probably get old kinda quick.

My 15 in my attache barely fits through the metro turnstiles unless I use the handicap one. 17 might be even more of a problem, especially since the weight necessitates a bigger bag.
