I just spent last week on a family vacation in Boston, and absolutely fell in love with the city. I was just wondering, both for those looking and for those who have already found housing, about where you stay and how much it costs.

Being a big city, I'm sure housing is relatively limited. Does Boston College have graduate housing available? Is it at least nice, or is it run down? Do they have 1 bedroom apartments, or are you pretty much guaranteed to have to have roommates?

I guess another question would be location. With the stress of getting your work done, I'd like to be near campus. I don't feel like running around and losing hours on the T.

And finally, what about "student life," including food? A lot of the food downtown was expensive, so I was wondering if there's anywhere nearby where you can grab a bite or just hang out in a student-friendly atmosphere.

Thanks for any information!
