S&C vs. DPW vs. STB

Any thoughts?  Beyond the sterotypical S&C for M&A/Goldman, DPW is nice, STB for PE wondering about thoughts / comparisons / experiences -- thinking mostly about lit, not sure what kind...

S&C = Sullivan & Cromwell
DPW = Davis, Polk, & Wardwell
STB = Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett
M&A = Mergers & Acquisitions
PE = Private Equity

None of these are particularly obscure, so probably good to add them to you lexicon...
