Temple has a roommate list thingy that was helpful to some of my classmates. Have you received anything on that yet? If not, write Johanna. Where you want to live all depends upon how much you want to spend, how much a commute you mind, whether you like to party or not, etc. East Falls is a good option. So is South Philly. If you're planning to rent over the net/phone, you want to know someone in the city that can check out the neighborhood before you sign the lease.
