Also if you are considering becoming a lawyer the alternative way... i would suggest the Law School Bible by Peter Loughlin, Esquire. http://www.lawschoolbible.com ---Its has been very informative .

There are federal student loans to help with DL education.

Excellent book.  I would recommend it.  I believe that a person whould get their JD anyway they can.  If it helps you pass the bar, great!

This book is wonderful.. I just started my studies at Northumbria School of Law... The cost was about 900. pounds.. $1800 in the U.S.... I also received a Student Smart Card for when i visit.. They have study weeks in dec and march for 1 week each.  The program outline has been really good. We have access to Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, Office 2007, Outlook etc... I would strongly recommend them
