Financial Aid

I am having so much trouble figuring out financial aid and the office doesn't seem to answer any of my questions. So far I have 30,000 in scholarships/ federal loans but I thought that you receive a student budget that has housing and other expenses on it. Do I have to apply for extra loans? Other schools that I were accepted to had everything all figured out. Indy just said apply to get more money but I don't even know how much I need.

I'm having trouble with this as well.  I imagine they approved all of us for the standard 21,500 in loans + scholarship money, which is expected to cover our cost of attendance.  It seems like this one-size-fits-all approach would be trouble-especially to those without grants.

I don't have a feel for how good this estimate is, it really depends on how far you live away from school.  COL in the area is pretty low compared to the rest of the Midwest.  Of course, downtown will be pricier.
