Does anyone know anything about College Park Apartments (they are at 523 3rd Street)? I am aware they are a distance from downtown....but I went to see an apt there and I liked it. I do have a car...but I have heard it can be a hassle in the winter.

Let me know :)

Hi Puja,

I live about a block from there. I've heard some complaints about the clientele, but I don't think the location will be a problem (we could carpool!). I'll elaborate on that first comment in a PM...

I can't make the 3rd but I'm pretty certain that I can make the 11th.  It would be fun to connect some screen names with faces...

I won't be there until a little later... like the 18th maybe?? So if you all get together again before school, I'm in.

Great - welcome, CCH! I don't mind multiple outings...sounds like fun! Maybe we can have a pre-orientation cookout or something.

That sounds like fun! My last day of work is Friday - yay! - I gave a really long notice so they could find a replacement and I have been so anxious for the past few weeks. Can't wait to get this dreaded move over with and finally get settled in my new apartment and start school!!

Yeah I feel the same way. My last day isn't until the 11th... but it keeps me occupied I guess because all I can think about is getting to PSU!

OP...any reason you're not considering the UP campus?

I wanted Carlisle for the small town/small school atmosphere.  I'm from philly, and went to Temple U. and figure I could do better with less distractions.  The Carlisle location also reminds me of my Grade School/H.S. in the Philly Burbs  which could be good or bad.  I may spend the whole 3 years Carlisle only going up north to catch the ocassional ball game. :)
