Waitlisted at some T25s, is transfer from T2 possible?
« on: March 16, 2007, 05:21:49 PM »
I'm at a T2 in chi with an approx a 3.55 after 1 semester.

What are my chances of transferring to some T15-T25's.

I was waitlisted at 3 of them when i initially applied? Will this fact, coupled with my current gpa help/hinder/have no effect on a transfer app?

any info appreciated

What's your rank/percentile?
Which specific target schools? Some accept more transfers than others.

Being waitlisted the first go-round will probably help a little. First, it shows that you were already interested in the school. It reinforces your current interest as being genuine. Second, they already have an application on file for you, so unlike other students who are applying for the first time, they will have two Personal Statements from you! It gives you an opportunity to expose a different side of yourself (heh, I said expose yourself), and draw a more complete picture of yourself as an individual.
