They say on their website: "Transfer and non-degree students are accepted on a space-available basis only."

This is generally code for not transfer-friendly. Stanford says the same thing.

The Yahoo group has one accept and two dings from previous years for UW:
  • ACCEPT - Rutgers 3.52 GPA (no rank)  3.38/164 (UGPA/LSAT) - plus CALI award and Master's degree
  • DING - U. Pitt 3.34 GPA (no rank)  2.98/164 (UGPA/LSAT)
  • DING - Chapman 3.41 GPA (top 10%)  3.6/162 (UGPA/LSAT)

eh, generally, maybe.  I wouldnt stop there though.  One school that I contacted has the above wording on their site.  I contacted the Dean of admissions, and she told me that they admitted 29 students last year. (i believe only 14 or so transferred out.)

yeah, I got dinged at UW, but I am very interested in the Seattle area, so I am thinking Seattle U for a year and transfer, though SU plays decently in the Seattle market from what I have heard

UPDATE: I did some more digging and UW only takes about 3-5 transfers per year out of about 60 apps, less than 10%...ouch
