Ivory Wallpaper
« on: February 10, 2007, 06:08:18 PM »
After sending out over 250 resumes, the responses are finally flooding my mailbox.  Rejection after rejection.  I have gotten one interview so far and an offer to be a non-paid intern at a small Cleveland firm.  All it takes is one I guess.  I am only a 1L so I shouldn't complain too much.

I wouldn't really expect much else from a mass mailing.

But you're right, it only takes one, so that's great you got one interview.  I'd also bet you haven't heard back from all 250 yet, so there's still a chance for more.

Would you really want to intern for any random firm that you know nothing about, who happened to extend an offer?

The firm I got an interview with is a pretty respectable 50 attorney general practice firm.  To be honest, I don't know much about ANY law firms, so why not go with this one.

I agree. As a 1L, top priority is being able to do something that looks half-way respectable on your resume for 2L summer. If you recieve multiple offers, then you can start getting picky.
