Do I Have a Chance At Any of These
« on: January 25, 2007, 09:51:47 PM »
I'm a 1L at a T3 and I just found out today that I made Dean's List w/ a 3.32 (top 15%).  I really want to transfer to either the U of MN, Washington U in St. Louis, Georgetown, U of Illinois, Notre Dame or Emory.  Do I have a chance in hell at any of these?  Thanks.

A slight chance in hell, depending on your school and pre-law school stats. If you're on the borderline, your LSAT/UGPA will probably come into play a good bit. Probably still no Georgetown or WASHU though, unless you blow it out next semester. However, all of this is only based on things I've heard.

ND is overenrolled this year so I don't think it will be taking any transfers. Georgetown takes a lot of transfers so you may have a chance there if you get your GPA up a bit more. I think the site says they prefer top 10-15% with a B+/A- GPA. I wouldn't rule any of the other schools out. Usually they do not look at the UGPA/LSAT for transfers.
