I might have been a bit over zealous in applying to a number of law firms, so I need some advice on pending applications. I knew that my chances at getting a job at a BIGLAW firm was slim to none. So around Sept. 10-20th I sent a large number of cover letters and resumes to some medium to small law firms around my area. Now I received a few rejection letters from firms that didn't want me or didn't have a summer program but there are still a couple of letters I am waiting on.My question is what should I do regarding these pending law firms? I know that 6 months is the standard holding period that firms keep an applicant's resume on file, but these are not large sophisticated law firms. I'm still waiting on a response from my career services but I was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences. Thanks.
if youre a 1L i would *guess* that maybe they trashed them because the ABA rules dont allow 1L's to send that stuff until Nov 1st.
