Academic Excellence Classes?

Academic Excellence Classes?

Does anyone have these at their school? We have one that meets once a week and just basically teaches students how to outline, analogize, develop legal reasoning skills, etc.? I haven't gone to any yet and I'm wondering how people on the board feel about them. Thanks!

I think it could be helpful.  Go once and see how you feel.  Those skills are at the heart of law school grades.

My school holds a similar class. They don't glamour the title up quite like your school. It's simply known as leap (legal education assistance program), and focuses on outlining, answering hypo's, and test/time management skills. It's basically geared towards exam prep. I've found it extremely helpful and insightful as to what professors expect in writing an exam.
