i'm starting to get nervous as i don't have an offer  yet ...

For big firms you might be by December.     BUT its only early October, so don't panic yet.

Also, many midsized and most smaller firms don't even really start hiring until the spring, since they aren't able to plan their hiring needs so far in advance.

You'll find something with a pay check!
