Does UT have a cheap golf course of its own? In Utah, the U of U had one (9 holes) that only cost $6. Nothing special, but nice to have. Anything like that at UT, or somewhere in Austin?

I am not a golfer -- but I noticed this public golf course near my apartment and just north of campus...

The course where the Golf teams are based is at a private club, so unless you've got the cash...
I've played Lions (

) which was pretty good, especially for the price.
If you want to spend a little more ($35-45 twilight) for a beautiful and fun course, head on down to Bastrop and play Colovista (
http://www.colovista.com
). The signature hole is a par-3 overlooking the river with a 120-foot elevation drop to the green.
