Thank You letters - advice needed

I am planning on sending out thank you notes to some of the attorneys at the firm that I clerked at this summer.  Would it be alright to address them as "Dear Tom" or "Dear Jennifer" ?  Any other advice?

I wouldn't waste my time on something like this, I've thrown away every Thank You card I've ever received. If you really want to thank them, set up a lunch date and foot the bill...

I throw away most Thank You cards and Birthday cards I receive as well.  I would certainly miss them if people stopped sending them to me, though.

I agree with the "address them as you did during the summer." After all, these are people who will soon be your peers. It is not incorrect to address them by their first name if you are already used to doing so.

If you're sending it to someone just to be polite, address it "To whom it may concern".

I think you should address them as you verbally address them, so as not to be awkward in any way.  So, don't go by first name across the board, or by surname across the board.  Go with whatever applies to each person.  By the way, if you want to add a "legal" touch to your thank you notes, might I suggest the following:

Although we have many more greeting card selections, they're too sarcastic for a thank you note of this nature.

Help - me again!  I am having a severe case of thank-you note writers block.  Does anyone have any samples.  I have a general idea of what I want to say in each note, but I can't seem to get it out.

Is it apporpriate to end the thank you notes to each partner reiterating my interest in working with them (Ex: I would be honored to join . . .)

Try your coreer services. I would tell them your interest, but don't say "I would be honored..." that sounds kind of cheesy.
