Where Should I Transfer - Harvard/Stanford?

Wow, congrats, I didn't know that Stanford even took transfers ( in theory they do but you know...).  Can we know where your transfering from/grades or % ranking?

I would prefer Stanford because of the small size of the classes/school and the weather.  I think it all depends on what you want to do and what your personal preferences are.  In terms of reputation I don't think there's much of a dif besides the fact that Harvard may have more name recognition.

The schools are so close in ranking I think it really comes down to geography.  I think Harvard has a slight edge in prestige, clerkship placement, and academia.  If you just want to do biglaw you can get those jobs at either.  The class size is super small at Stanford and it is supposed to be a more relaxed atmosphere.  The drawbacks of that are less class variety and lots of gossip.  Harvard, on other other hand, is huge with lots of niches to fall into but possibly more competitive.

Go to Harvard, Stanford is nice, but Harvard is Harvard. You can "drop the H-bomb."
