So what's the big @ # ! * i n g deal about Mel Gibson saying this? Where did the freedom of speech go? Mel was drunk, and I'm sure it's not the worst thing you'll ever hear from someone who is drunk. And because he's a Hollywood movie star, that is supposed to make a difference?

And even if he was sober, isn't this America with freedom of speech and the like?

What Gibson said is true.

Any war in the Middle East right now is indeed a result of the very existence of Israel either directly or indirectly. Obviously we'll start with the war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, Jews are directly responsible. The growing threat for Iran and Syria also directly related to the existence of Israel making the Jews directly responsible. What fueled Sadam Husein was the existence of Israel and was a direct threat to Israel and a major part of the United States going to war with Sadam Husein was to help protect Israel from this growing threat so we'll give this one a indirectly responsible tag.

Now finally the BIGGEST war that directly affects the United States is the total "War On Terror", so why exactly are these terrorists running around and blowing themselves up and crashing jets into the World Trade Center and Pentagon? Is it because they don't like George Bush's hair cut? Maybe they're just irritable because it's so hot in the Middle East and sand gets in their underwear? Wait, I remember now, they're upset that the Palestinian land was taken over by the Jews to create Israel, making the Jews directly responsible for the War on Terror. Yes there are other factors in play here besides the simple existence of Israel but I don't believe that the other factors would be enough to fuel the wave of terrorists on their own without the Jewish factor.

Now I don't recall ever seeing anything claiming that Mel Gibson wanted to kill Jews, deport Jews, beat up Jews, or even say anything about Jews that wasn't based on a truth. Yet the Jewish community chastised him, the media portrayed him as a lunatic, and the PC police would like to hang him in a public square. In fact, I'm not sure that you could actually even say that anything Mel Gibson has said to this point is Anti-Semitic. Sure it has to do with Jews, and obviously the Jews don't exactly like the things he says, but what did he say that is derogative to the Jewish people? It's like saying that you're Anti-Native American if you say the Native Americans are responsible for most of the gambling in this country. They are in fact the owners of most of the casinos outside of Las Vegas, many people don't like gambling, but nobody says the casino protesters are Anti-Native American. The Native American people were treated just as poorly for a longer period of time than the Jews in Nazi Germany, mass extermination and mass exodus was the norm for hundreds of years for the Native Americans. It's the same as what I said earlier, there is a clear double standard in this country.

Many people are unaware that Jews have done the exact same thing to other races that the Nazis did to them. Simply pick up your Bible and go to the Old Testament, flip to the book of Joshua. Ever heard the story of the battle of Jericho? You see, the Hebrew people believed that God had promised them the land of Israel, however Israel did not yet exist. In the "promised land" there lived a people called the Canaanites, Joshua being the military leader after the death of Moses needed to conquer the land of Canaan for "living space" for the Jewish people, after all, the Jews had the divine right to expand their border for more "living space" for his people. So how does Joshua deal with these pesky Canaanites that are breathing up all of the Jews promised air and fill up all of their promised space? Well you could call it a few different things but the word I like to use is "GENOCIDE". Keep reading in your Bible to where the Jews are about to attack Jericho, as we all know the Hebrew army marches around the city with the ark of the covenant blowing trumpets until the walls fell. The order Joshua gives to his army is to leave no breathing thing, men, women, and children are all put to the sword to make room for his race.

Hitler often said that the German people had the right to conquer its neighbors to make room for German "living space". As you see in your Bible it's a written record recorded by the Jewish people themselves, but knowing the kind of world we live in today this will undoubtedly be considered Anti-Semitic. Just like Mel Gibson's comments are getting him labeled an Anti-Semite.

I usually don't get involved with the bigotry, but muslims have a hatred towards Jews because the Jews persecuted them... see the Koran, Book o' Cow...

Mel Gibson is honest: Jodie Foster
« Reply #4 on: August 08, 2006, 07:44:26 AM »
Silence of the Lambs star, Jodie Foster, has come to the defence of her troubled Maverick co-star and friend Mel Gibson saying that he is no anti-Semite. "Absolutely not, Mel is honest, loyal, kind, but alcoholism has been a lifelong struggle for him and his family," Eonline! quoted Foster as telling Los Angeles Times. "I do not have personal experience with addiction, but I have seen it take many paths in people I know,"  Foster added.

Gibson was charged with misdemeanour drunken driving on August 2, five days after he was stopped on Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway for speeding and unleashed an anti-Semitic tirade that has tainted his public image. The Australian-born actor has since apologised for his remarks and called for Jewish community groups, who are furious with him, to help him save his good name.

And I suppose the jews are to blame for the Iraq-Iran War,The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, The slaughtering of the Kurds by chemical warfare, etc. Face it you fu*$in Moron, Arabs are barbaric animals. Look at their states. Go there, visit. Spend some time there. They are animals. I am not Jewish. The Bible also says the Jews will be persecuted until Jesus returns. This is a holy war and a battle of idealism. The Jews are on our side. Mel Gibson is not.

I always thought that Jodie Foster was bright, until now!  Either that, or she, too, is a bigot.  In vino veritas!  The fact that he was drunk only means that he stated what he truly believes.  As for the poster who wrote on and on and on (nope, I couldn't read all that drivel), about the current war with Lebanon being Israel's fault, and to any moron who actually believes that, I want to know what you would expect of your government if rockets started landing in your city?  Would you expect your government to sit idly by and negotiate with people who are literally non-negotiable (by their own statements, willing to die --- hell it's an honor!), or would you expect them to bomb the hell out of them until they were eradicated?  Me, myself, I'd go with the latter...fyi, so would you!  And by the way, this and all the other wars with Israel have only been holy wars on the Muslim side...you know, Muslims, who think everyone but them are the infidel.  Israel merely wants to co-exist, having nothing to do with religion.  And by the way, all the Christians of the world, including that f*ck Mel Gibson ought to pray that the Christian holy sites in Jerusalem never get in the hands of any Arabs, because guess what?  You, too, are the infidel, and your holy sites won't mean jack to them either!
I'm just a law machine, And I won't work for nobody but you!

Why won't anyone say they are Jewish?

Friends help each other out. That's why the US sends billions of dollars every year to Israel. In return, Israel advances US strategic interests in the Middle East. But despite this mutual back scratching, Israeli-American relations are enduring a rough patch. Last December, a senior State Department official blasted Israel for having "done too little for far too long" to resolve the conflict with its Palestinian neighbors. Indeed, President Bush himself had scolded Israel a month earlier with his demand that "Israel should freeze settlement construction, dismantle unauthorized outposts, end the daily humiliation of the Palestinian people and not prejudice final negotiations with the building of walls and fences."

Harsh words, but is it all just window-dressing? This was not the first time Bush criticized Israel and he has made numerous calls for a "viable" Palestinian state during his presidency. Nevertheless, he has never concretely punished Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon for ignoring US directives and shrugging off his commitment to the peace process. It's also worth noting that diplomatic admonitions are the responsibility of the State Department which has been on the losing end of the policy wars in Bush's White House. One wonders what Israeli-American relations, and indeed what American relations with the rest of the world would look
like if the neocon hawks who control Rumsfeld's Defense Department were also in charge at State.

A lot of ink has been spilled chronicling the pro-Israel leanings of American neocons and fact that a the disproportionate percentage of them are Jewish. Some commentators are worried that these individuals -- labeled 'Likudniks' for their links to Israel's right wing Likud party -- do not distinguish enough between American and Israeli interests. For example, whose interests were they protecting in pushing for war in Iraq? Drawing attention to the Jewishness of the neocons is a tricky game. Anyone who does so can count on automatically being smeared as an anti-Semite. But the point is not that Jews (who make up less than 2% of the American population) have a monolithic perspective. Indeed, American Jews overwhelmingly vote Democrat and many of them disagree strongly with Ariel Sharon's policies and Bush's aggression in Iraq. The point is simply that the neocons seem to have a special affinity for Israel that influences their political thinking and consequently American foreign policy in the Middle East.

Deciding exactly who is a neocon is difficult since some neocons reject the term while others embrace it. Some shape policy from within the White House, while others are more peripheral, exacting influence indirectly as journalists, academics and think tank policy wonks. What they all share is the view that the US is a benevolent hyper power that must protect itself by reshaping the rest of the world into its morally superior image. And half of the them are Jewish.

And I think the world would be better off if we did leave -- if we didn't -- if we left, the world would be worse.
