Wit by Margaret Edson (play, not the movie - the movie's greatest flaw is that it failed to communicate the humor effectively)
No, I saw the original production. Rediculously good. Though I did have someone with me say "Oh my God, I had no idea I'd have to see some old naked lady at the end." Needless to say, I have yet to take her to a play again, haha!
Oh, I've seen LOADS of crap at the Alley. And by crap, I mean stinking, heaping piles of sh!t. But for every 7 bad ones, I've seen 1 really kick ass play. I basically just wait to hear the reviews before I show up there, haha!
please. You guys would love pillowman. it's probably one of the bloodiest plays ever. It's set in a police state, and these two brothers are being interrogated for these murders. One of them writes these childrens stories that always end in the kids being mutilated and killed, and somehow someone's been going around doing copy-cats of the sick stories. And you watch the murders happen on stage, in (so I've heard) amazingly graphic displays.
well, I suppose the only way to find out is to read it. Besides, what else am I going to do for three weeks?
