Living near NCCU

Hi, I am looking for an apartment near NCCU campus. Can anyone recommend a location that's near the campus (or relatively convenient, meaning walking distance to/from bus stops, etc...).

My main concerns are safety, convenience, and noise.

I know this is super-late notice, but I live in Hope Valley right now, 3.6 miles from campus. It's pretty nice. But I gotta find another place in the area because my roommate bought a house and is terminating our lease here within the next few weeks. (I'm loving how vague she is about this...)
