According to NALP Directory:
(OCIs with firms in TX)

WUSTL - 7
UH - 77
SMU - 73

a rough metric, I know, but I vote Houston

Yeah I noticed that, if you look at overall firms (all states) doing OCI at those schools with entry level starting salaries above 100,000 you get.

98 - Houston
116 - SMU
95 - WUSTL

So overall Houston doesn't do too bad.  If you throw in the fact that I want to do IP work, and get instate tuition at UH, UH seems like the best choice.

Yeah, but assuming you finish in the top of your class, it won't be a problem for you.

According to a Martindale-Hubbell search of:

Lawyers that attended "Houston" in "Texas" - 5,517 listings
Lawyers that attended "Southern Methodist" in "Texas" - 4,965 listings
Lawyers that attended "Washington University" in "Texas - 359 listings

Note: As I looked through a sample of the search results, I realized that a lot of them included GWU, so the actual number of WUSTL grads in TX registered with Martindale is actually less.

FWIW:
Lawyers that attended "Harvard" in "Texas" - 596 listings
Lawyers that attneded "Stanford" in "Texas" - 132 listings
Lawyers that attended "Yale" in "Texas" - 170 listings

So I guess HYS are regional schools too. ;) or maybe people from HYS just don't want to go to Texas, and people from UH or SMU can't go anywhere else?

in at UH, still trying to sort it through my head that going to UH over WUSTL will be the right choice.  Hopefully I will hear from UT or GULC soon so my choices will be easier.

Just got accepted at SMU so I guess my poll is now accurate.
