Class Schedules up, just can't see what ones you have.

You can then sort for Fall 2006, 1L required.  It looks like some of them are still getting details put in, but...

I've just glanced through right now, and someone gets to start by 8:30AM.

Hmmm..  I counted 16 Legal Research and Writing.  That matches well with 4 sections, and each section being split into around 28 folks for a LR&W class.

For other classes:
5 Torts
5 Property
5 Contracts
6 Con Law I
2 Civil Procedure
1 Crim Law I

That's 24 classes (excepting the LR&W).  That just seems like a lot of classes if we'll be sticking with 4 sections.

Why is one Contracts class only 4 credits, while the rest are 5 credits?

Tony's numbers look right.  But then with 4 sections, we end up with 2 small classes, 2 large classes, and the LR&W class for a total of 20 credit hours the first semester.

That also only leaves the 1 hour writing component, 2 requireds and an elective for second semester, which totals up to only 16 hours if all the classes but writing are 5 hours.  Is that why we can throw in a 2 hour brief writing one for Moot Court?

I guess they do try and kill you with work the first year.  :)

Bah, nevermind.  I was thinking that the small group classes were half the size of the large group ones.  It works out much better if the small groups are a quarter the size.  Then everyone only gets one small group, and two large groups, and we stay at 15 credit hours the first semester.

The upperclassmen already have many of their booklists out.

You can look in the archive and see what kinds of books were required for 1Ls last year.  They seem to vary quite a bit between professors.

20 hours???  That doesn't pass the smell test.  I thought it was 14 hours one semester and 15 hours the next semester.  Does anyone else recall someone saying that at PSD?

yes, 14/15 is right.

I wish it was August 20th or something.  I'm dying to start!

I know! I think the waiting around all summer for it is giving me entirely way too much time to overthink, overanalyze and overworry.
