Move up Chances???
« on: June 19, 2006, 05:16:05 PM »
Any suggestions on whether I should attempt to transfer? I'm currently at a t4 and in the top 34% of my class. Ideally, I would like to attend a t3 or t2 on the west coast. Do I have a solid shot at transferring? Thank you

You can go from a borderline t4/t3 to a borderline t3/t4 with a top 40%. Some guy did Drake to Marquette that way.

i had crappier grades than you, 2.6 first sem, 3.07 2nd sem, for a total of 2.85, ranked 56/111 at a 4th tier and i got accepted to NYLS (3rd tier).  i'm still waiting a few 2nd tier schools...

sooooo, with that said, it CAN be done.  go for it.

keep in mind, i have an ivy league undergrad and very strong personal reasons for wanting to be in the city.

good luck.
