Austin doesn't have as much humidity as Houston, so it isn't as muggy.  For that reason it will be much more manageable weather.

I've not been inside the Law School enough to comment about the thermostat situation.  If it is anything like my undergrad, then you'll want a sweater in your locker for whenever you visit the computer room, even in mid-summer.  Here at work I know folks who bring a sweater to work every day.  Some rooms or buildings just get cooled a bit more.  One example is that large classrooms might be set a bit colder than the rest of the building.  Once you get 150 people in there, things tend to warm up a bit.

I, for one, would not be completely opposed to bells.  I had enough of profs running over and making me late for my next class in UG  >:(

I'd be VERY surprised if there were, but profs that run over are damn obnoxious.

High School had cliques?  Bah, I can't remember being invited to a single one.  I guess I can't jump from no clique to the cool clique right away.  Maybe I can get into the nerd or geek clique, though.
