Hmmm. That's funny. She's been signing all her correspondence with me using either "Lovingly" or "With Devotion." I was assuming she did that with everyone, but now you've got me wondering....

Apropos of nothing, it seems that every communication I've received from Monica Ingram is signed "Respectfully..."  Outside of documents in a legal proceeding, I can't say I've ever seen this consistently used as a closing in formal correspondence.

Just strikes my ear (eye?) as odd, for some reason.

From my High School English courses, Respectfully and Sincerely are two of the common ways to sign business correspondence right before the signature.  This is in contrast to the methods used in personal correspondence of Your Friend and Love.  I typically use Sincerely for all of my business correspondence, she probably prefers Respectfully.

Will you promise me right now to use that on all of your cover letters for job applications?  I figure that the more folks who use it, the more I get selected for interview slots.
