I was excited that 1L was over...And then I picked up the journal write-on materials. Over 200 pages. I've been reading since about 10, and I still have 6 Supreme Ct cases to read just to finish the once through.I would've killed for a week off before competition started. 4 days was NOT enough.
Good luck to those of you who haven't finished exams yet (I'm one of them as well, d**mn Con Law take-home exam is killing me), and congratulations to those of you who survived 1L. As of Thursday, I will have 2 more years to go (part-time 2L). And only two weeks off until Summer school...
DONE WITH ONE L!!!!!!!!!! BEEN DRUNK EVER SINCE I TURNED IN THE LAST FINAL
Okay, maybe this will make someone feel better. I had a scholarship to 2nd tier school and a 162 LSAT score. I had dreamed of being a lawyer for a combined total of 15 minutes or so. This may not be a surprise, but I did terribly. One semester and out. I had the admissions dean tell me it normally takes a poor-performing student one YEAR to get the grades I did. So, I took a test for my aptitudes and I scored off the charts for music. Go figure. One story amoung many others.
