What should I expect from my 1L summer job?

I'm a little nervous.  I don't know what to expect at my summer job.  Some of my friends say that their summers were spent doing very little work (maybe 5 projects) and having lots of lunches and social events.  They all worked for the same firm, though.  I'm going to a different firm.  Does anyone have any experiences to share?
