Transfer from top 6 to Harvard?
« on: February 23, 2006, 01:30:17 PM »
I'm a student at one of SCCN.  I was accepted by Harvard but turned it down.  Now, for various substantive reasons (NOT "Harvard is more prestigious," though that doesn't hurt) I think I may want to transfer there.  My first-semester grades are above-mean but definitely nowhere near the top 10% of the class, and I will have strong recs.  Anyone have any idea if I stand any chance of getting in?

They say they favor people with stats strong enough to be accepted or waitlisted the first time around.

On the other hand, it can't help that your grades won't be as good as most of the transfer applicants applying to Harvard.

Welcome to the crapshoot.
