Anyone here a BAR/BRI or PMBR rep?
« on: January 12, 2006, 08:59:59 PM »
If so, how much do they pay you?  Does it take a lot of work?

We were thinking a student rep program would be a really cool thing to do to get the word out but we aren't sure exactly how to structure it.  Figuring out how those companies do it would definitely help!

They don't pay you jack squat.  Your reward for your indentured servitude is the fee waiver of the rediculously overpriced review course.

I'm tellin you right now, if I had 3 G's in my pocket I wouldn't even f*ck with being a BarBri rep.  Its like a cult.  They take themselves a little too seriously and the stuff sells itself anyway.  Something like 90% of all law students take BarBri to prepare for the bar so why they push the reps so hard to sell the stuff is beyond me.

Wow, that's it??!?

I can't believe that's much of an incentive since firms often pay for that stuff anyways.

Hypothetically, if we gave $5 per person that signs up at your school, would you be interested in doing it?  Hmm.  I guess it depends on school size as to how many people would sign up.  What if we gave $10 / person?

I'm just thinking out loud here.
