What really are the benefits to joining Barbri your first year of law school? The massive book of an outline they give you? If it is worth it I'll sign up for it if someone recommends it. But if it's anything other than a godsend for first years it's way out of my price range.
1) The price lock. You pay 50 bucks down for the first year and (i think) $300 next year. Every year it gets more and more expensive so its best that you lock your price in now.
2) You are going to have to buy it anyways. Trying to cram all that Bar material is going to be a real female dog, even if you aced the LSAT with no prep course.
3) Some of the outlines were very helpful for me during finals. I really like the outlines for torts and contracts but it will be different for different professors and different students.
4) There are online lectures that you only have access to if you purchased Bar/Bri. Personally, the lectures in Civ Pro saved my ass during finals and gave a great overview on most major topics. I didnt have time to review the other lectures, but I bet some others are just as helpful.
