Bombed the 1st Exam
« on: November 03, 2005, 01:25:54 PM »
Just finished my first exam ever and did so horribly.  I feel discouraged.  Why did I even apply to law school?

First of all you should take the rest of the day to relax and not think about the exam that you think you "bombed".  Last year the exams that I knew without a doubt that I had bombed I actually wound up doing better than the exams I walked out of feeling like I aced.  If you did feel like you bombed it then I'm sure you're not alone so you could look at it that way and just hope that the curve works in your favor.  You should really put this first exam out of your head and continue to prepare for the rest of your exams.  If you dwell on what you think was a failure you won't be able to do well on the other exams you have coming which matter just as much.  Cheer up, I'm sure you did not do as badly as you think.

Don't sweat it before you get your grade. As long as everyone feels the way you do, you might not be that screwed. Being that you got into your law school in the first place, odds are that you are not worse than everyone else there, so don't sweat it yet.

That's what I was wondering.  I'm still a month off of my first exam.

I did have a quiz in Civ Pro today.  I screwed the pooch on that one big time.

I hate civ pro. I'm outlining for it right now and I can't focus my attention for more than 5 minutes.  Something about 28 U.S.C. 1367 just doesn't get me very excited.

Thanks for the compliment re my avatar.  It's precisely what I feel like doing to my civ pro teacher at the end of each class.

Incidentally, my brain shuts down at Rule 12(b).

Rule 12(b), use it or lose it.
