My classmates are awesome thus far. The other day I was called out on Socratic and had many students (who I didn't know) complement me for my answers. Personally I think they did it because I sounded nervous when I was speaking. Either way, fellow students could have made the experience worse.

I just finished my first week as a 1L and the stereotype of bitchy, snobby law students is true

Well, with all of the greed, backstabbing, and big egos that characterize lawyers and the law profession in general, how could it be otherwise?

Well, I have this black woman in my class who raises her hand without thinking.  She makes these loud remarks like "uh huh.......that's right...that's right!" As if she's in church or something.  The teacher doesn't even have time to lecture and there she is with her hand up again asking the stupidest question that doesn't even relate to the topic that we are learning.  She acts as though she is so intelligent.  I can't stand her.  With her comments, it reveals to the class that she didn't read her cases or listened to the what the teacher lectured on last class period.  She's always whispering loudly towards the other students next to her asking what such and such means. 

She annoys me to no end!  Once when the professor said to another woman, "That was an excellent brief!"  Her hand pops up and is she says, "Professor, can I do the next brief."  I'm assumming she wants the professor to praise her and say, "excellent brief"...but sometimes, I feel she volunteers because she didn't read all the briefs.  So she'll just do the one that she finished.  My professors only make you brief once during class time.  He wants it so that everyone else gets a chance to brief when he runs his fingers up and down the rollsheet.

I like most of my classmates, but there are one or two that I wish would take a long walk off a short cliff.

For example, we had practice exams today.  Once my friends and I finished we started talking to each other before we left the room.  I admit that we should have been more considerate before talking because others were still taking the exam. But out of nowhere and completely disproportionate to the distraction this female dog yells at the top of her lungs "HEY, SOME PEOPLE ARE STILL WORKING!!"  What a f-ing female private part.

I hope you're reading this female dog.  You and your Asian friend.

My classmates are not snobby at all ... they're just extremely stressed out kids who pretend they are not ...

The one that gets me is those people who come to school all dressed up like they are really going to work or something! Im all for looking nice and professional, but black pants, dress shirts, and high heels, dont you think its a bit much? After all you are still in school! But for the most part the people at my school are pretty cool, everyone is helpful towards one another and I dont feel like people are being very competitive!
