Anyone here agree with me that Jawbreaker is the best band ever?

I do not believe there is a statute or common law precedent which we could reference negating said statement.

Any act, statement, or statute which is in contrary to the stipulation "Jawbreaker is the best band ever" is hereby declared, not binding and or persuasively biding.

I'll stick with the Beatles as best band ever, but thanks for the suggestion. 

However, if you insist on limiting the choices to CD-era bands that most people have never heard of, I'd choose the Wrens.

I'll agree with you on the Beatles.  However, if you've never heard of Jawbreaker you're a tool.  and the Wrens?  You've gotta be kidding.

Jawbreaker was sooooo good. Can't listen to them anymore though. Too many not so good associations. However, "dear you" is on my ipod. The other day I was driving home from my second day of school and was a bit bummed by my lame-o peers. The ipod was on shuffle and that song “chemistry” came on. Despite the fact that it’s about high school, certain parts resonated very strongly with me. I was happy again...for a second, then someone cut me off so I tried to flick a cigarette at their car. I missed. Fvck Them.

yeah, jawbreaker is definately a contender for the best band of all time. too bad i never got to see them live. jtb isn't bad either. i think they're due for a new album.

I saw them live only once just before they broke up, they played mostly dear you songs.

I liked JTB first album, i only downloaded a few songs from the second.

Saw them play there first show in new york and yelled jawbreaker once.

So this summer, I rented that Woody Allen movie “Annie Hall,” (great movie, by the way). Christopher Walken has a small part and suddenly he starts with the “I’m telling you this because, as an artist, I think you’ll understand. Sometimes when I’m driving …” I freaked. I had no idea where the sample came from.

On a related note, a few years ago I was watching “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (a not-so-great movie IMHO) and there is a picture on this travel agent’s wall advertising “Jets to Brazil.”

That kinda sucks, although I guess (like Jawbreaker) that what made the band good was mostly Blake’s lyrics. I really only like the first Jets album anyway. The other two have their moments but they’re a little to…emo?. I’m sure he won’t quit putting out music.
