I was thinking about waiting and talking to some of the students who have taken my professors before.  That way i don't spend lots of money on stuff that won't be very helpful.  Though i'm sure any of them would be fine, i just want more info.

I bought Examples and Explanations for Torts, Civil Procedure and Contracts. I got them on Half.com, so I spent $40 for the three books (including shipping). It wasn't a huge investment.

I planned to look over the introductory chapters in all three, but I've gotten hung up on contracts. Contracts are so cool!

I've decided to wait on outlines until I know which professors I have. Just about everybody I've talked to has recommended Gilberts and Emmanuels, though.

I bought the E&E books too. Again, I'm also waiting to see what the professors recommends before I buy further materials.

If you're already in law school, don't waste your time or money on these. Master the book and pay attention in class.
