Pitt approved a tuition hike on Friday.

Tuition increase of 6% was approved on Friday of last week.  That's about what I expected....could have been worse.

Does this mean the student budget will be out shortly?  Anyone know?  What about class schedules?  Not that I'm in a hurry to get started, but I need the info for finaid purposes.

I'm guessing we'll get the schedules this week.  Charmaine said that they'd be mailed in the next few weeks in her email at the beginning of July.  I'm anxious about it too... But most of the financial aid stuff I've looked at seems to have pretty rapid turn-around times in terms of approving a Private Loan.

Wow, 6%... jeez.  Oh well, 2% would be better, but...

Why is it that university tuition is always going up at a rate three to four times that of inflation?  I just don't get it.

Compared to the schools in Kentucky 6% is a favor.  UK and EKU raised tuition in the double digits.

I thought I read it's 6% for in staters, 3% for out of staters...so if that's correct, it's a bit of a relief for us out of staters.
