Yep, They must have accepted too many. Which is bad for those still hoping for a seat off the waitlist.

Yup. You're not alone.

There was over a 10% increase in tuition in the last year. Unless someone has some sort of serious crisis, I can't see why anyone would want to defer.

On another discussion someone on the waitlist said that FSU had 300 acceptances. Should we be at all worried that they will be tempted to weed out first year students since that is more students than they have ever had? Their attrition rate is near zero now. I personally don't think so but it did occur to me.
  Anyway, this isn't great news in terms of parking, class size etc.

My friend deferred. They gave him more aid money, and he just took a year and headed to south Asia.
