how are you? getting close hugh? before you know it we will be sitting in class. Fortunately I do not have that week long class that you have to go to, we start on the 22.

Hi pluto!  That reception sounds like an excellent idea.  Everytime I tell my husband about the type of support I'll need while doing this, I think he thinks I'm exagerating. I keep saying that I can't skate through this like undergrad. 

I bought the Gilbert 1st year books, and I've started Civ. Pro.  But, to be quite honest, I think my paralegal books are a better overview.  I mean they do outline it quite well, but my undergrad books have more helpful charts, and checklists.  I don't know... I haven't read that much of it yet... we'll see.

Yanky, I haven't gotten my orientation stuff or my Intro Assignments since I just got in last week, but I figure my info will probably be the same as yours even though I will be in Harrisburg. You think your paralegal books are better for Civ Pro? I took that in a paralegal class as well; maybe I should have kept my book!

Hello everyone... sorry I've been "out".  I've had a sick cat all summer and I had to put her to sleep today.  Extremely depressing, but even the vet said it was best, she was just suffering too much.


Soooooo, I am challenging everyone to please tell me good things; I want to try to be vicariously happy.  So, what are good things that are happening in everyone's life... I'll start, I am going to be fulfilling a dream by going to law school in a few short weeks!

Oh Yanky, I am so sorry to hear about your cat. But take it from someone who worked as a vet tech for years in cat hospitals, sometimes euthanasia is the kindest thing you can do for your friend.

On a happier note, I got my orientation packet yesterday. Woo-hoo! I am soo excited!! I wish they would put the books for class and the intro class on the website; I am dying to get my books!!! Do you know when they are doing that?

I understand. My cats mean absolutely the world to me.

I am just eager to get everything in order, you know? All I am waiting on now is my awards letter; I will feel better when I get that.

I can certainly understand the eager anticipation!  You will soon learn that Widener will drive you crazy... nothing is efficient.  What awards letter?  Did you win an award?

I have not received my "awards" letter yet, which I am sure will just consist of the 18.5 from the government, but that is okay with me. I got my bill from the Bursar for the fall semester which does not reflect any kind of loan, but I am assuming that it is on the way. When I called FA the other day, they said that they had everything they needed and were just waiting I guess for the final amount from the gov,

I know the 18,5 is supposed to be guaranteed, but I will feel better when I get it. I just want all this money business out of the way!!

Sorry, I guess that was kind of confusing. The FA people were just calling the financial aid your "awards." Kind of silly, I know. And since I will have to pay back my loans, I guess it is an "award" I am giving myself!!

Just checking in with y'all. My orientation starts next week...  so school is nearly here.... all the stress of LSAT, applications, financial aid, are all behind me now....Now.... finally, it is time for school... and I am SO excited/nervous/etc.... How are you holding up?
