Widener Day Student Schedule
« on: June 09, 2005, 05:09:38 PM »
I went online and looked at the course schedule for Fall 05.  Based on Civ Pro, Legal Methods, Property, and Torts, regardless of what section you're in, it looks like the basic schedule will be roughly:

Mon- 12 to 4
Tues, Wed, Thurs- 9:30 to 4, give or take
Friday- 9:30 to 11 or so

I can live with that... unless I'm missing a class or two in my analysis.

I went to Widener DE today to get some books at the bookstore.  The textbooks aren't in yet, but they expect them to come in a couple of weeks.

I have a credit at the bookstore from my seat deposit, but they won't let me use it until classes start.

Hey hey,

what do you mean they won't let you use the credit until classes start?  Do you mean the first day of class or orientation or what?  Thanks for the heads up to save me the grief of going there.

Well, after they explained it to me it made sense.  It's your seat deposit, which has been turned into a credit at the bookstore.  Hypothetically, if you'd decided on Temple instead of Widener after turning in your seat deposit, you could still go to the Widener bookstore and buy all your E&Es and Gilberts and off you go with their seat deposit.  The lady at the Bursar's Office (we get our book store voucher from the Bursar's Office) said we could come by and get them on the 15th.  They want to make sure we're really attending before releasing the money.

What was our seat deposit? $400? Hopefully that will cover all our books, which would be awesome!

Thanks for the heads up Twarga.

Thanks for the heads up Twarga.

It was $400, and the textbooks that were in (not for 1Ls) were around $75 apiece, so I think it'll cover it (barely).  They have a 50% off sale right now on their Widener Law sweatshirts ($17).  I picked up a few.
