Albany - Class of 2008

Yo yo, albany 2L here, hope everyone's move went well and are settling in ok. one thing about the assignments - dont sweat it, if its the same as last year, only part of the day is devoted to that. the morning is pretty much the usual "welcome to law school" thing.
 
as for dress - people wore everything from dockers and a nice shirt for guys and a nice dress for girls, to jeans or shorts and a t-shirt.

Albany is in NY....does the location have similiar cost of living as other part of NY?  The reason I am asking is...it seems that Albany has one of the worst employment stats among all NY law schools. Its starting salary is comparable to 4th Tier schools located at locations with very low COL.

just finished putting my futon together and got my wireless router working. so nice not to live on the floor anymore. place is a mess and I need a nap so the later the better for me. like 8 or 9? I don't know the area but there's a cute pb near my place called lion something something. lionheart? lion paws? I dunno.. it's either on lark or delaware. i'm thinking very selfishly coz i'm walking. but if anyone else has any suggestions go for it. I'll be napping by the comuter til then.

having lived on long island and gone to school in the city i can say that COL is much lower in and around albany and upstate NY in general.

I am still packing. I move up on Saturday and I am starting to freak out. I feel like I am never going to be ready and have everything. I feel like all I have been doing is shopping and stressing.

I am also from NJ. Monmouth county here.
