Binders-size???
« on: May 23, 2005, 02:02:25 PM »
Hey,
what size do you who have been in school at least a year recommend for the binders?
I am about to buy them in mass and would like to know before I make a mistake.

I got a 3" binder, but seems a little overkill...do you think I will actually fill it to capacity?

I always have a large binder for each class, but I keep it at home and use it to organize my class notes, handouts and outlines. I use thin folders and only take what I need for class on that particular day. The larger binders are just too much to lug around along with the books and laptop.

So a 3" is not too much in excess?
Thanks Lawgirl.

No, it's not excess especially if you are just going to use them at home and not carry them to school. I can easily use that size just for one class.

I only used binders for classes with a supplement, and then the size depends on how big the supplement is.  At the end of the semester I put all my class notes and outlines into a binder for each class, and they are 1 1/2 inch binders.

I tend to make notes on my outlines during study group, etc. so i like to keep the printed copies--and maybe I'm just a little old fashioned  :P
