Could you guys post reviews of the various apartments, I've seen pics online but its hard to get a good feel.  I'd really appreicate it.

Is anyone else thinking about moving a little further out, maybe places like Ardmore, or Conshosoken?

One more question, I don't see Rosemont Plaza on the housing sheet from villanova, are you guys referring to the Mermont Plaza or something different?  Thanks.

Hey Guys,

Has anyone had any luck with the villanova reslife website in finding housing?  I've been looking on there because that's where the admissions office told me it would be best to start - but I was just wondering if anyone had any success stories off of there.  I'm kind crunched for flying money, so I'm only going to go up once or twice before aug. and so I was wondering if I should start looking at apartments or stick with this list.....any thoughts?

Basically anywhere on the Main Line you're gonna pay through your nose.  I live in Radwyn Apartments, and aside from the rent cost (which I'd complain about anywhere), I can't complain too much.  But I'm also a sucker for wall-to-wall carpeting, which Radwyn has.  A lot of people live here, at Radcliffe House, Radnor House Condos, and at Home Properties of Bryn Mawr.

I went and checked out Radwyn, Radcliff House and Rosemont Plaza (not on the housing list) and I put a deposit down at Rosemont Plaza - Radwyn was my next favorite and then Radcliff House...if you like having nature around you I'd go for one of those...the Rosemont Plaza is an indoor building where the other two have lots of grassy areas...

Pete,

Have you posted on the villanova reslife site?  There are tons of people looking for a roommate to share a place with.  That might be a better place to start only because i think more villanova students are directed to that sight.

Hope that is some help,

Glad to hear it Pete!  It's a great resource and but it's kind of hard to get to if you don't know about it.

Good luck with the roommate and hopefully I'll see you this fall,

Laurie

If you are on a tight budget but an anti-social (well, when it comes to roommates anyway) and love to have space, get away from the main line. The villanova website does not give the fairly cheaper, but good apartments that are actually available in  really decent neighborhoods that are not on the main line. Check out rent.com or drive around the town (I did that and got a 1bd rom for under 600/mth).
Try Ardmore, Wayne or Havertown if don't mind driving about 10-15 min to school.
