So do we only have 3 regular classes (civ pro, torts, and property) with legal methods? I thought we would have had more...not that I'm complaining! I looked at the first year cirriculum and I think that leaves like 5 regular classes (admin law, con law, criminal, and like property II and something else) plus legal methods 2  for spring semester. We might be in for a world of pain then.

So it seems -- even if Intro to Law is a full semester course somehow, it doesn't have a final listed.  YK and I were discussing this, and second semester does look like a World o' Pain, although at least some of the classes will be continuations (for less credit) of areas we've already started.  If I have to have a World o' Pain semester, I guess I do prefer it to be second, rather than first.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out the scoop on classes. I emailed a friend who graduated 3 years ago and someone who's a 2L. Maybe they can clear some things up.
The schedule doesn't look to bad though. Long day is I think Tues and I'm out by 11 on Friday.

OK, so here's the deal for the intro to law class listed on the schedule. Found this out from a 2L. It's only once a week with a couple weeks off during the semester, so that's cool. But we have to attend 80% of the classes. It's basically informational with no homework...teaches us how to brief cases, outline, etc. So I think it's maybe a safety net/continuation from the orientation week for us throughout the semester. We will also have it for 8 weeks during spring semester for no credit.

Intro to Law doesn't sound so bad.  And g, I'm not ready to give up on my summer of twarga yet, either.  I'm doing a lot of military duty this summer, but a lot of laying on the beach, too.  I could use another month, at least. :-\

g, thanks for checking that out.  Sounds good, and I wasn't doing anything with that Monday morning anyhow.

Sorry it too me so long to reply, but I now have a room of my own to study in!  ;D  I'm very excited; I can actually lock the cats out of the room when I'm trying to work.  Wow!  We'll see how that works out in the fall.

I too received my packet sometime last week, can't remember which day.  I am in section A and Torts D3.  I am sooooo glad that you will be in some of my classes NightOwl, it relieves some of the new thing anxiety, if you know what I mean.  Sorry you're not in any of my classes twarga and g, but with NO in my classes, I could probably do without the extra competition!  :D
