I am not actually at IUB yet...but it's looking like my #1 choice at this time. Just wanted to say hello to everyone else and get this forum going.
Stop by and say Hi!

I'm at IU finishing up my undergrad, and possibly going to IUB Law in the fall.

Can I ask what type of law everyone wants to go into? I am interested in public interest...mainly consumer law.

Yeah, whatever. Trust me, you will all going from public interest, alchemy, or whatever other ideas you have to throat f-ing a puppy for money if someone gives you a job doing it. Just wait until you're comming out of your last year and your employment prospects are the army or selling you used underwear on ebay.
Keep your nose closed and don't walk into Bradley's class late.

I don't think so. I am old enough to be able to judge for myself what I want to do. I have worked in a firm for 6 years already.

Hey all. I'm heading to Bloomington in the fall as well. Looking to get a joint JD/MPA specializing in environmental law and policy. Have many of you started to get housing lined up?

hey lah05, so you decided on IUB over lewis and clark huh? cool.
i haven't lined up housing, just started calling a few places, i don't know barely anything about bloomington. i spoke with Renaissance Rentals, they have some studio and 1br's available, and i aslo spoke with deerpark mgmt, they have 1brs at campus mall and bart villa apts, these all sounded like reasonable options for me, not sure what youre looking for.
i am always looking for more advice as to where would be good and cheap to live, but not too student ghetto-y

Avoid Varsity Villas at all costs!
Being homeless is better for your grades than living there. Same for the whole stadium area. A few years ago there was a riot at the Villas during Little 5 weekend. It's a gigantic 24/7 party. Not good for law students.
